2011 Seminar series hugely successful!

In Sydney he capacity audience was captivated by Nora who could have talked for days on this subject! Dr Ron Ehrlich's introduction with Dr Weston A Price's photos was fascinating,  Bruce Ward's presentation of how large herds of grazing cattle can regenerate degraded land while providing inexpensive nutrient dense food was an eye opener for the city audience and Costa's "Produce not Product" talk was hugely entertaining with a serous message. The  food by Agape Organic Restaurant was sublime! A great day!

In Armidale David  Mason-Jones showed why  grass-fed meat should be on the menu and Rob Blomfield's story about his health transformation was rivetting.

At the Gold Coast Tony Lovell's presentation on cattle,  land regeneration and methane challenged the "cattle are bad for the environment" dogma.

We will soon have a page with stories, photos, feedback and links so please contact us if you would like to contribute. Here's an example of a happy attendee.

About Us

Nourishing Australia Inc  is not for profit organisation and a registered charity dedicated to raising awareness of food and farming and health issues. We educate  by means of  literature, web links and running events with guest speakers and support individuals and groups who are engaged in similar work.

WHAT WE DO

The immune systems of both the earth and its inhabitants are intimately related to the soil, water and air. The direct link  to human health is unquestionable.

We  bring together information and articles about a wide range of food, farming,  environmental and community issues and link to supportive and like minded groups and organisations - many of whom are making a great difference but are not necessarily known to each other.  By creating a broad coalition we can make a powerful difference.

The most important underlying factor is nourishing our soils. To repair the damage of the devastating effects of  industrial agriculture, we need to go way beyond sustainable  practices. We need to raise awareness of and promote regenerative agriculture.

We  emphasise the importance of caring about the quality of our food, where it comes from, how it is produced and the farmers who produce it. Consumers need to create a demand for  clean, nourishing nutrient-dense foods and farmers need to be be rewarded for producing them. eg One of the most important things we do is support  the grass- fed beef movement which leads to healthy soils and grasslands. We would like to see everyone asking their butcher for grass fed meat rather than feed-lot meat which is marketed as "grain-fed" as if it were a good thing!

We  also present cutting-edge and somewhat politically-incorrect nutritional information including  the role of  cholesterol in the body. The fear of saturated fat and cholesterol underpins a great deal of nutritional and medical advice. It  makes people afraid of many nourishing grass-fed animal  foods and encourages them to eat many of the foods which may cause the very problems they are trying to avoid.

Our Traditional Foods Network is a campaign of Nourishing Australia. It  educates about the health benefits of traditional foods as opposed to modern, refined, processed foods and will promote the wonderful work of Dr Weston A Price which has been preserved and disseminated by the Price Pottenger Nutrition Foundation who publish his book ' Nutrition and Physical Degeneration'.
